Some healthy breakfast recipes to start a healthy day

 


Perhaps everybody wants an energetic head start for the day and for that we need a highly energetic breakfasts that’ll prepare us for the rest of the day. With the changing lifestyle junk foods are in demand and which makes your body dull and lazy for the entire day. So, we bring five high healthy breakfasts that’ll not only complete your body requirement but also add a flavor to your day.

1. Oatmeal 

Oatmeal is one of the healthy and fastest options for breakfast. So, let’s look for its recipe.

Ingredients – 1 cup oats, 3 cups of water, ¼ teaspoon of sea salt, Banana, Berries(optional).

Tip -  Add peanut butter and chopped banana to increase its protein content

RECIPE

  • Boil the water in medium pot
  • Add oats and salt and reduce heat to medium low
  • Stir for 10-15 min, or until thickened
  • Remove pot, let it cool and serve.

2. Egg Cheese Sandwich  

       Egg cheese sandwich is gem for eggetarians. This meal is high in fats, protein and carbs and will energize your body.

       Ingredients – Butter, 2-4 eggs, Bread, salt, Cheese, Ketchup

        Tip - Accompany it with milk for more heavy breakfast

     RECIPE

  •      In a pan , heat the butter

  •      Crack eggs in pan and cook to desired firmness

  •      Just before eggs are cooked, place a slice over each egg

  •      After the cheese has melted, place each egg on slice of bread

  •      Put salt to taste, add ketchup and serve

3. Spinach Banana Smoothie

       Spinach smoothie will not only keep you hydrated but will give you nutrients of spinach. This smoothie is easy and  fast to make.

       Ingredients – 1 cup milk, ¾ cup fresh spinach leaves, 1-2 banana, Sugar

        Tip -  Add mango to give it a sweeter taste


RECIPE
  •       Blend milk and spinach leaves in a blender until it’s smooth
  •       Add banana and sugar to taste and mix it
  •       Serve it cold

4. Fruit Salad

       If your fruit stock is full then this is a must try recipe for you. Simple fruit salad gives your body nutritional content from various fruits and its far more delicious than junk food. Its recipe is
     
       Ingredients – Strawberries, Mangoes, Banana, Oranges, Apples, Berries, Nuts, salt, lemon

        Tip - Add quinoa/chia/flax seeds for more nutritional content


RECIPE
  •      In a large bowl, squeeze lemon for its juice
  •      Add chopped fruit to the bowl and mix it well
  •      Serve it cold

5. Pancakes

       If you have a more time before going to office you can try out making pancakes. These fluffy pancakes can be customized with your need. These pancakes contain less fats. Each pancake contains 3g protein and 53 carbs. Let’s see its recipe

       Ingredients – 50g wheat flour, 50g self- raising flour, 2 eggs, Milk, Curd

        Tip - Accompany it with an apple for heavy breakfast


RECIPE
  •      If you do not have self -raising flour make it by mixing 100g of flour and 1g tsp baking powder
  •      Sieve the flours into bowl
  •      Add eggs and milk to get a thick paste and avoid making lumps
  •      Whisk egg whites until they stand up in stiff peaks and fold them carefully into batter
  •      Heat a pan and pour batter to make a pancake
  •      Cook under a minute until bubble begin to pop on surface
  •      If it is wet turn it and cook
  •      Serve it warm with curd
